Breech!

If you've been wondering about baby #3, keep reading, otherwise just skip this post and go to the fun stuff!

So here's the 411 with my cute little baby boy... Yesterday I went back to the high risk pregnancy doctor I've been seeing for a month now, and this little boy finally dropped below the 10 percentile in weight. So they've decided it's time for him to come out. So they want him to try and make it 10 more days in me, and then they'll take him. They'll keep doing all the non-stress tests and ultrasounds biweekly to make sure nothing changes in between now and then. The crazy part... on Tuesday he flipped and is now BREECH!!! Can you believe that little stinker? I've been so excited to have a regular delivery with an almost 4 pound baby. Doesn't that sound so easy? But because he's small, they don't recommend trying to turn him around. Usually it will cause fetal distress and lead to an emergency cesarean delivery. If he didn't have all these risks, I think I would try and have him flipped, but too much risk to this little guy. So we're just scheduling a c-section. I can finally say (or type) that without crying. But the good news is they think he is just a small healthy baby, and we'll take him anyway he wants to get here! Can't wait to meet him. Love you already.

  5. You'll do great! Alyssa was breech at different times and one of those times was when I went into labor. They tried to turn her, I went through labor and still had the emergency c-section, so yes, you're right, it is better to just go through the scheduled c-section! Just keep looking forward to the blessings of when your new little one is here. We'll be praying for you!

  6. Both of my girls were c-sections and while my recovery was very hard with Elodie- 18 hour labor followed by a c-section, my delivery with Addysen was AMAZING! Went in at 10am, had her at 1pm. My recovery was always fabulous and the fact that it was all planned out and I knew exactly when she was coming was great for me. Does it mean that I wouldn't have wanted to have a vaginal delivery- no. My body just isn't built to birth a baby. I carry them great, lose baby weight amazingly, but the getting out part is the no go for me!

You'll be fine! It's scary but very very quick! When they were wheeling me out after having Addysen, I was already talking about another baby to Christopher! That would have NEVER happened with Elodie!

The most important thing is your baby will be healthy! How he comes doesn't really matter!

  7. I love you! I am keeping you in my prayers. Is your mom coming? Eat 3 or 4 cheesecakes this week, maybe you can get him to gain some weight? :)
