School Pictures

Aren't they so cute?

Are you sick of reading about my cats yet? Well here's to some forgotten cell phone pictures...

Mitchell has a curl! So cute. (and he's lost 3 pounds since this picture in the hospital)
I finished my felt rose wreath just in time for Spring.
Reesa and Cami pose with their Easter bunny creations! Reesa LOVES crafts. She'll spend hours painting, coloring, glueing, taping. She's so much like me...
Reesa was a nervous wreck to get her kindergarten shots. She would cry every time she thought to ask about them. Well the time came and she didn't cry. She said to me afterwards, "mom your were right, I AM Brave!" She picked out a purple heart cookie, don't mind that it says #1 mom, she can't read yet...

There's always drama!

So Jake left out of town yesterday, and Reesa found Fluffy, our mommy kitten dead in our swimming pool! She fell couldn't get out, and drown. I'm still in shock. So not only did I have to scoop her out of the pool, filled with water and weighing probably 25 pounds with all that water in her, carry her across the yard, dig a hole and bury her. My friend Caitlin luckily was here to help me do it all. We had to keep yelling at the kids to get back inside so we could do all this as quickly as possible.

Not only is it sad to lose our favorite cat, she left behind 7 nursing kitties! I called Jake who told me I needed to bottle feed them, or I would lose 2 or 3 of them for sure! PLUS their mom still licks them clean, so they don't really know how to use a litter box.
BUT despite all odds, we gave them some of Mitchell's milk, and I went to the store and bought kitten food, and I think they're hungry enough to eat... Just another day, right?

Chowchilla County Fair

Jansen and I got to have a special day together when his preschool took a field trip to the Chowchilla Fair, about an hour away. Every year they open the fair one morning for special needs kids only, FREE! Parents can come, but not siblings, so there are really ONLY special need kids there.
It was so fun because everyone was understanding. When Jansen wouldn't get off a ride, I started to apologize to the parents behind me, and they understood and wouldn't let me apologize. Everyone there was so nice and understanding, I actually starting to cry thinking about how nice and accommodating people were being.
Since everything was free, Jansen could go on any ride as many times as he wanted! Loved it!
Jansen loved the animals and I think that was his favorite part. He kept trying to hop the fences every time I turned my back.
Jansen trying to pick up a pig.
Jansen chasing a chicken.
Jansen making a goat look right at him
Jansen guiding the miniature horse, see he loved it!
This was seriously the funniest part. Some lady was cleaning the pens, Jansen saw her, ran over and held onto her shovel and walked with this stranger to clean up the poop. She was very nice and let him help clean it all up!
