Aunt Hannah Visits Dec. 2012

We are so lucky!!!  Hannah has a husband who is super busy in vet school, so we were able to fly her out to help me with my kidlets while Jake was out of town for an ortho conference.
The kids had so much fun being silly and playing together...

Elsie was a hit!  My kids were in Heaven having a little girl around.
 Mitchell was there too...

Lynsey, Grandma and Grandpa Geyer wanted to see Hannah too so they drove up for a visit.

We took everyone to go see Santa

 and had fun decorating cookies

Then dad came home and got to visit with everyone before they left.  He loves carrying Mitchell around in his hiking backpack...
Hannah, 5 months pregnant.  What a hottie!

 Making homemade pizza
Reesa pretending she has a little sister...
AND look who lost a tooth!!!

December

The Christmas season has started at the Geyer home.
Jansen couldn't help but eat more than he built...
Mitchell sleeping at therapy.  His only escape when he doesn't want to work..
AND the next day, we ended up in the hospital...

We have so many great friends who help us out every time we have to go the hospital.  The Kendall's took our kids which is so comforting because it's like their second home anyway.  They have so much fun there, it takes away some of the guilt I feel for having to abandon them on short notice!

Jennifer dressed my kids and got them ready for school in her kids clothes since I didn't have time to pack a bag for them...  She texted me all these pictures, and it eased my worries of them missing me too much...!
Mitchell's poor hand!  His IV had failed and the nurse didn't notice since it was bandaged so much to prevent Mitchell from pulling it out!  His had was solid as a rock!  It didn't even feel like skin, it was stretched so thin!  This picture doesn't do justice to how gross it looked and felt!

It is so hard to be in the hospital!  You feel so helpless and out of control and few ways to comfort your screaming, crying child!  I will always be so grateful to Children's hospital and the doctors, nurses and staff who work there, but I am always more thankful to go home!
On Saturday Jake came and stayed with Mitchell so I could go home and see the kids for a while.  I took them to the pancake breakfast with Santa, (a favorite family tradition) and we ran into a bunch of friends there!

After 5 short (or LONG) days Mitchell decided he was ready to go home!!!
And of course Mitchell is the NICEST brother in the world who stopped at the gift shop in the hospital and had presents wrapped for his siblings to tell them how much he missed them!
Dad lifting Reesa to place the angel on top of the Christmas tree!  Let the festivities begin!

Christmas Family photos

Originally posted July 9th 2013
I'm back... kind of.  I just ordered my first blog book to be printed and I am SO ECSTATIC!!!  Seriously I can't stop smiling.  What a wonderful way to let my kids view our blog, and for me to feel like I kept a family journal/scrap book...  So I figured I better start somewhere and these pictures were already downloaded to my computer.  So here's our family in 2012!  Don't be fooled by the smiles... These pictures were super hard to take and Jake told the photographer she had 15 minutes tops!  We couldn't get our kids to put down sticks or flowers or stand where we wanted them, but they're cute and we got a few happy looking ones!

Mitchell was so fussy, Jake changed his clothes before he knew I wanted individual ones of the kids too... but we took them anyway!

Oh, love this boy!  He is so cute and full of life!

Random November pictures...

Mitchell's new trick... Feeling in control and stopping his swing from swinging... BUT if you turn off his swing, he screams and doesn't want to be in it.  I guess when you can't crawl or walk or really even move you want to be able to control some kind of movement.  Mitchell will grab the swing bar and just smile at you as if saying "look what I can do!  I just stopped myself from moving!"  I just love seeing his little personality coming out as he starts to show us his likes and dislikes.  He often falls asleep in his swing while holding the bar so it won't move.  I finally captured him in a picture!
Reesa found a buckeye tree and since she was born in Ohio (OSU mascot is the buckeye) she wanted to know all about buckeyes! So we made edible buckeyes! YUM!
I spend lots of hours with Mitchell at therapy learning to eat!
The first snow fall of the season, so of course we made a snowman!
And Reesa took a picture of the beautiful roses outside her bedroom window as the snow threatened to destory them early...
Our adorable dog Rascal sleeping in the cat's bed in our garage with a kitten!  He must have been desperate for company!!!
One of the zillion trips we made to Children's hospital, of course the kids always insist I take a picture of them on the giraffes out front.

Me snuggling our forever baby!
Yes, I did have a birthday this year and officially hit mid thirties!
Mitchell at therapy just being so darn cute again!!!

We did go to Grandma and Grandpa Geyer's for Thanksgiving... although I could only find two photos to prove it!

Driving to So Cal...

We stopped at Burger King and everyone had a party...
I mean seriously, can Mitchell get any cuter than this?

Jansen wore his suit for my birthday... What a handsome fella!

Reesa played soccer

Reesa played fall soccer this year.  It was a lot of fun for her to play with ALL girls and slowly learn the rules a little better this time.  Sadly these are the only photos I got from the whole season.
They played in the pouring rain!
